Generate Music panel discussions are presented in collaboration with Temple University’s Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection and the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History. The Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection is one of the nation’s leading research facilities for the study of the history and culture of people of African descent. This collection of over 500,000 items has materials on the global black experience in all formats: books, manuscripts, sheet music, pamphlets, journals, newspapers, broadsides, posters, photographs, and rare ephemera. Established in 1976, and situated on Philadelphia’s Independence Mall, the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History is the only museum in the nation dedicated exclusively to exploring and interpreting the American Jewish experience—and a repository of the world’s largest collection of Jewish Americana (more than 30,000 objects). The Museum’s public programs explore American Jewish identity through lectures, panel discussions, authors’ talks, films, children’s activities, theater, and music. Both the Blockson Collection and the Weitzman Museum gave Generate Music composers special access to their collections as they developed their pieces.

WWFM is the official media partner of Generate Music and will broadcast the World Café Live performance. Generate Music will be released as an album in 2025 on XAS Records, distributed by Symphonic Distribution and the Naxos Music Library.
